Remy Wire Works is the custom cable assembly division of Remy Battery, a family-owned Milwaukee institution that has been serving the battery, power, and electrical needs of businesses, government agencies, and individual customers since 1931. What started as a small battery rebuilding shop on the west side of Milwaukee has grown into a multi-generational operation with decades of hands-on experience in lead-acid batteries, cables, connectors, electrical components, and battery accessories.

Nearly a Century of Family Ownership

Remy Battery was founded in 1931 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin — the same era that gave birth to the American automotive industry’s need for reliable replacement batteries. Through the Great Depression, World War II, industry consolidation, and decades of technological change, the company adapted and grew under three generations of family leadership. In the early 1970s, Richard “Dick” Moeller became President and expanded route and retail operations, by the 1990s his sons Mike and Matt had joined the leadership team and today Mike’s son, Orion, is now involved in the family business.

Today, the family-owned and operated business has earned a solid reputation for going above and beyond to meet customer needs and exceed service expectations — earning the trust of individuals, small businesses, large businesses, and federal, state, and local governments.
